Guided by the visionary leadership of producer and director Kassandra Voyagis, the 29th edition of the LA Art Show is set to unfold at the Los Angeles Convention Center from February 14-18, 2024. At the heart of the show’s curated program is the celebrated DIVERSEartLA, curated by Marisa Caichiolo, which promises to ignite crucial dialogues through art.

This year, DIVERSEartLA embarks on a fascinating exploration of the intersection between memory, humanity, and artificial intelligence (AI). Featured Exhibitions at DIVERSEartLA 2024

• “The Journey” by Guillermo Bert (Nevada Museum of Art): A multimedia installation featuring life-sized wood sculptures of immigrants employed as frontline workers, exploring the narratives of identity, human memory, immigration, culture, and humanity.
• “Mythstories” by Carlos Castro Arias (Museum of Contemporary Art in Bogotá): This exhibition, curated by Gustavo Adolfo Ortiz Serrano, delves into the realms of myth, history, and AI, using medieval tapestry aesthetics to create connections across times and cultures.

Museum Acquisition Award and Charitable Endeavors

DIVERSEartLA 2024 also introduces the second edition of the Museum Acquisition Award for Emerging and Mid-Career Artists. Building on the success of the previous year, the Museum Collection AAL from Santiago, Chile, will select an artist from the LA Art Show to become a permanent part of its prestigious collection.

In a significant move, the LA Art Show has chosen the American Heart Association as its charity partner for 2024. Celebrating its centennial, the American Heart Association will receive 15% of proceeds from every ticket sold, contributing to the organization’s Life is Why™ campaign and its mission for healthier lives.
