Jeanette Schneider Wants to Shift Perspectives at EmpowerCon 2019
Jeanette Schneider rose from humble beginnings and used her past to fuel a hunger that would go on to push herself out of poverty and gift girls everywhere with knowledge passed down from generations.
“Growing up poor and in a violent neighborhood definitely created a desire in me to achieve and not ever have to go back where I came from,” explains Schneider.
Schneider grew up with a minister father and an alcoholic mom, making her household far from the traditional setting that most success stories arise from. However, the drive of wanting to leave a troubled home pushed Schneider as she climbed the corporate financial ladder, working her way up from the position of a customer service rep that paid $7.35 an hour to the title of senior vice president. 20-something years later, Schneider’s successful finance career allowed her to retire and pursue her passion of helping others through her creations like LIV Media and Lore Advocacy.
“Lore Advocacy is a group of professional women who come together to try and shine a light on issues that affect at-risk populations, young girls specifically,” says Schneider. “We do a lot for young mentorship, like trying to advocate for girls in STEM programs, and also for human trafficking.”
LIV Media was created with the purpose of generating opportunities for people to become the best versions of themselves through uplifting live events and is in the process of transitioning into an app that will help reach larger audiences. Similar to the philanthropic approach of LIV Media, Lore Advocacy is dedicated to the education and support of young girls everywhere, as the group promotes a safe space for women to share the experiences that have shaped their lives. Schneider is making an impact on future generations through her creations today.
“I want to help people today because I know they’re raising the next generation, and we have to help work through our own old messaging and belief systems because we have to raise a new generation to not carry those same harms,” details Schneider.
Jeanette Schneider will continue to help people work through their old mentality through her creations and at EmpowerCon 2019, as she will play a pivotal role on the Q&A panel.
“I want EmpowerCon attendees to know that they have the ability,” says Schneider. “My call to action to attendees would be to commit themselves, look within, and to shift to a new conscious perspective.”
